A Kerry Local Creative Youth Partnership project for Architecture Kerry facilitated by Me and The Moon. This project is funded by Creative Ireland.

How do children see the streets and the built world around them? What are they viewing every day at their eye level? Over a series of creative workshops, we have time to reflect, ask questions and further explore the environment through our “artist’s eye“.

In response the project, children living in Killarney created drawings of the architecture and built environment around them. The drawings were then collated to create the artwork currently being exhibited in College Square.

The workshops have provided the children with the time and space they needed to process and play.

In places, children have a literal observation of what they can see. In other places, children use their imagination to create characters and surreal scene elements – an insight into their playful perspective.
